ABC One Link Bonded Internet

What is ABC One Link? ABC One Link is one internet device that takes multiple internet connections of any type and bonds them together. This means you can increase the speed of your connection as well as improve the reliability of your connection.

This service works with ADSL, Cable and Wireless Broadband connections. By using different carriers it would take multiple services going down at once to bring down your connection. Most conventional failover devices allow you to use one or the other internet feed but not both of them combined at once. You can even use a persistent static IP address on the connection that won’t change regardless of which internet feed goes down.

Ask yourself how much your business would lose if you lost your internet for the day and then consider what benefits an increased download and upload speed would bring your staff. For more information contact your local office and we can provide all the information you need.

More bandwidth, faster speed, better reliability, enhanced resilience, AND GUARANTEED FAILOVER – ABC ONELINK offers your business these benefits and more.

We are the market innovators for bonding ADSL, and CABLE. We created the proposition in BC after identifying a gap in the market between single ADSL or Cable circuits and expensive fibre optic solutions. Years of research and development have led to a highly stable, cost effective bandwidth solution for your business.

  • What is Bonded / Aggregated Bandwidth?

Bonded Bandwidth takes multiple internet connections and creates a single powerful connection. Bandwidth bonding is a complex operation with many potential pitfalls but essentially it offers increased physical upload and download capability and is a credible alternative to replacing expensive fibre optic connections or improving upon a single provider ADSL or Cable solution.
ABC Communications, along with our partner TELOip, have developed advanced bonding technology allowing multiple carrier lines to be bonded to create larger internet pipes. ABC OneLink offers increased speed, reliability, flexibility and resilience as well as a 99.9% SLA.

  • How do we supply the ABC OneLink service?

Our solution uses a variety of IP layer and virtual tunnelling protocols in our core bonded network, creating multi-path network links back to our central carrier-grade datacentre infrastructure. This approach has proven to be both stable and fast to use. Many of our customers across BC and Alberta now enjoy faster speeds than they previously thought possible - at a far lower cost than they expected.

  • How does the ABC OneLink service integrate with my network?

Our service is enabled via our carrier-grade Gigabit network infrastructure. We bond both with hardware and at the IP layer, depending on the bonded scenario. All setups include:

  1. A minimum of 4 Static IP addresses (regardless of failover your IP continues to function.)
  2. A customer premises bonding device.
  3. All necessary modems and switches.

Our solution sits on the edge of your network and remains remotely managed by ABC Communications. Our business service is designed for business users who want reliability, speed, resilience and flexibility from their business circuit provider. We can tailor a package to suit your individual business needs, offering a spoke network specifically designed to take care of your speed, security and accessibility requirements.  Your router connects to the bonding device allowing you the freedom to provide your own firewall or VPN solutions.

  • What speeds can I achieve with the service?

Most of our customers are using two, three or four bonded circuits, but some customers have bonded up to 16 lines. Speeds vary depending on your specific setup but as a general rule each circuit should maintain the total sum of its individual circuit parts. For example, if your bonded network comprises four 6Mbps ADSL lines, the resulting speed should be around 24Mbps.

  • Where can the service be used?

Our system bonds together multiple broadband connections so it is essential that high speed internet be available at your location. Depending on the availability of ADSL and Cable we can also bond using high speed wireless options which we also supply.  Our solution was designed to enable organisations to make more use of internet bandwidth technology available, especially where distance limitations meant only slow speeds could be achieved. Businesses tend to use our technology where they need faster uploads and downloads, for applications such as VOIP. ABC OneLink is ideal for uploading large file sizes at key sites, where many users may be accessing IT systems, or simply as a cost-effective replacement for leased lines.

  • Can I add more lines to my solution?

Yes, flexibility is built in which allows for additional lines to be added to the service. If another line is required we simply provision another circuit to the premises and add the link to the aggregating device. Increasing the number of lines in the device will increase the overall speed and provide greater upload and download capacity.
