Gmail App ( Android)
STEP A
1. Please tap on the “Gmail” icon to open the Gmail app.
STEP B
1. Once Gmail is open, please click the three stacked lines to open up the menu (as indicated in the picture below by the green outline).
STEP C
1. To the right of the user name, click the arrow pointing downwards (as indicated in the picture below).
STEP D
1. Once the side panel changes, please tap on the option labeled “+ Add Account”, as indicated in the picture below.
STEP E
1. The screen will change to present you with a list of options, please click the option labeled “Other” as indicated in the picture below.
STEP F
1. On this screen, tap the password entry field and enter in your full email address (i.e.: “someone@netbistro.com”) as indicated in the picture below.
STEP G
1. In the bottom left hand corner of your screen, please tap the “MANUAL SETUP” option to proceed.
STEP H
1. The screen will change again, please tap the option labeled “POP3” to continue configuration (You may skip to STEP M to do a IMAP configuration instead) as indicated in the picture below.
STEP I
1. Tap on the field labeled “USERNAME” and input your full email address (i.e.: “someone@netbistro.com”).
2. Tap on the field labeled “PASSWORD” and enter in the password for your email.
3. Tap on the field labeled “SERVER” and enter in “mail.abccomm.com” as the information.
4. Click on the field labeled “Delete emails from server” and set to Never to retain copies on the server for your convenience.
STEP J
1. Tap the sliding toggle (if not enabled already) to the right of the words “Require sign-in” to enable (will turn blue instead of grey).
2. Tap the field labeled “Username” then type in your full email address (i.e.: “someone@netbistro.com”).
3. Tap the field labeled “Password” then type in your email password.
4. Tap the field labeled “SMTP server” and enter in “smtp.abccomm.com” as indicated in the picture below.
STEP K
1. You may change this option to whatever timing you wish, recommended to leave at 15 minutes to receive updates more frequently.
2. Leave this option enabled or you won’t receive notifications when you receive a new message.
3. Leave this option enabled or it won’t check for new emails.
STEP L
1. Tap on the field labeled “Your name” and enter in your First and Last name. Then click the next button on the bottom right to complete your setup! (Next steps are for IMAP configuration only and can be ignored if you configured for POP3).
STEP M – FOR IMAP CONFIGURATION ONLY, IGNORE IF USING POP3
1. Tap on the field labeled “Username” and enter in your full email address (i.e.: “someone@netbsitro.com”).
2. Tap on the field labeled “Password” and enter in the password for your email.
3. Tap on the field labeled “Server” and type in “imap.abccomm.com” (without the quotes, see image below).
4. Tap the blue next button.
STEP N
1. Tap the sliding toggle (if not enabled already) to the right of the words “Require sign-in” to enable (will turn blue instead of grey).
2. Tap the field labeled “Username” then type in your full email address (i.e.: “someone@netbistro.com”).
3. Tap the field labeled “Password” then type in your email password.
4. Tap the field labeled “SMTP server” and enter in “smtp.abccomm.com” as indicated in the picture below.
STEP O
1. This option controls how frequently the app checks for new email messages, recommend leaving it alone.
2. Leave enabled to receive notifications of new emails being received.
3. Leave this option enabled otherwise you won’t receive emails.
4. Leave this option on if you want attachments to be downloaded automatically when on wifi (not using data), otherwise you will have to tell it to download each attachment manually.
STEP P
1. Tap on the field labeled “Your name” and enter in your First and Last name.
2. Click blue next button.
3. Setup is now complete!
